Van Buren Mayor Bob Freeman will deliver a proclamation at the Van Buren Public Library at 1:30 p.m. May 20 to kick off Child Safety Awareness Week. Tammy Trouillon from UAMS will speak May 21 at 4 p.m. on “How to Avoid the Dangers of Sexting.” “How to Protect Your Teen from Online Predators” will be presented May 22. Internet safety will be covered by the Morgan Nick Foundation at 4 p.m. May 23. The Van Buren Police Department will be at the library at 4 p.m. May 24 to fingerprint children under 18 for free.

Mulberry Public Library will hold an afternoon science fun event from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. with a representative from UAMS explaining Newton’s Law of Motion with hands-on activities.

Pioneer Days Parade will be held on Main Street in Van Buren at 1 p.m. beginning at the Crawford County Courthouse. Call Patti, 474-2581.

Turner Community Building/Church will hold a fundraiser pancake breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. to provide a new roof for the building. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

Nichols-Belt Reunion will be held at the Coal Hill City Hall for descendants of Miles and Cora Belt and Albert and LouElla Nichols. There will be a potluck lunch and Bingo will be played. Those attending are asked to bring photos of past reunions.

Conley Cemetery in Mountainburg, will hold its annual decoration services at 2 p.m. Pastor Herbert Wages will speak.
