River Valley Master Gardeners Herb Committee’s annual holiday cooking with herbs will host a different approach to what to serve during the holidays from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Reynolds Cancer Support House, 3325 S. M. St., Fort Smith.

Living Windows, Lighting of the Courthouse and Festival of Trees will be held at the Crawford County Courthouse and historic Main Street in downtown Van Buren. Living Windows will begin at 5:30 p.m., lighting of the courthouse at 6 p.m. and Festival of Trees will follow the courthouse lighting ceremony. Miscellaneous

Alma Masonic Lodge meets the second and fourth Mondays at the lodge building. Supper is at 6:30 p.m.

Crawford County Volunteers for Literacy, 513 Main Street in Van Buren, offers adult reading, math, English as a second language and other classes. Classes are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Call 474-4594.
