<p><strong>Lyon</strong></p><p>Jane and Clifford Lyon of Van Buren celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Aug. 10 in St. Petersburg, Russia, while on a Baltic cruise touring Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, Sweden and Russia with their children. They were married Aug. 10, 1973, in Morrilton. They have two sons, Kenneth Lyon of Fort Smith and David Lyon of Austin, Texas.</p>

<p><strong>Salyer</strong></p><p>Mr. and Mrs. John Salyer celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 24 with family and friends. They were married Aug. 24, 1963, at the Church of Christ in Alma by the Rev. Van Ledbetter. Mrs. Salyer, the former Linda Nolen of Mountainburg, retired after 37 years at Commercial Bank and BancorpSouth in Mountainburg. Mr. Salyer, a native of Mountainburg, was employed by Frisco Railroad for over 18 years and has been employed in the oil and gas business for 23 years, with the past 11 years at XTO Energy. The couple has three children, Kelly Salyer of Mountainburg, Kimberly White of Bentonville and Kyle Salyer of Van Buren, and five grandchildren.</p>

<p><strong>White - Weaver</strong></p><p>Mr. and Mrs. Scott White announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Lea White, to Chanceton Doyle Weaver, son of Mickey Weaver and Jennifer Weaver, all of Van Buren. A 7 p.m. ceremony is planned Sept. 21 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fort Smith. Ms. White is the granddaughter of Nancy Lepri, Dave White, the late Gino James Lepri Jr. and the late Janice White. She is a graduate of the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith with a degree in business administration. Mr. Weaver is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Ruddick, Clara Weaver and the late Freddy Weaver. He is a graduate of UAFS with a degree in marketing and is employed at US Bank in Alma.</p>

White - Weaver
