Paul and Shirley Linton of Alma will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception May 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the event room at the Holiday Inn in Van Buren. They were married May 18, 1963, by the late Elmer Linton at the home of the late George Linton in Van Buren. Mrs. Linton is the former Shirley Hodges of Cedarville and is retired from Whirlpool. Mr. Linton is a native of Dyess, Ark., and is a retired Fort Smith police officer and served in the Air Force. They have three children, Rhonda Barger and Michael Linton, both of Van Buren, and Teresa Albay of Cabot; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The couple request no gifts.
Moran - Shepherd
Megan Lynn Moran and Adam Cole Shepherd, both of Mountainburg, announce their engagement and plans to marry in a 4 p.m. ceremony May 11 at the home of Tom and Becky Jackson of Alma. Ms. Moran is the daughter of Jenny and Randy McGrew of Van Buren and Rob and Lisa Moran of Pueblo, Colo. Mr. Shepherd is the son of Roy and Rayoma Shepherd of Alma.
