<p><strong></strong>Cedarville High School counselor Telitha Hernandez has achieved National Board Certification, the highest mark of accomplishment in teaching. Though not all school districts provide an incentive bonus, National Board Certified teachers at Cedarville receive a first year certification incentive of $2,500, then $1,000 for the next nine years. The State of Arkansas pays a yearly stipend of $5,000 for the 10-year certification, giving the teacher a total of $61,500. At the end of 10 years teachers must renew certification by repeating detailed portions of the process.</p>
