Bell to head company

J. Kevin Bell has been named president of Jimmy Bell Real Estate Co. of Van Buren.

He will work alongside his father, Jimmy Bell, to continue expanding the company’s footprint and sales staff, as well as venture into new commercial property acquisitions in Oklahoma and Tennessee.

Bell joins the company after spending 22 years in the banking industry. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and lead real estate evaluator for Citizens Bank & Trust. He is a graduate of Van Buren High School and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and real estate.

In addition, he is a graduate of the Arkansas Bankers Association General Banking and Lending Schools, the Consumer Bankers Association’s Commercial Banking School and the Graduate School of Retail Bank Management at the University of Virginia.

“I’m excited to enter the next phase of my career,” Bell said. “The 22 years I spent at Citizens Bank has prepared me well for this opportunity. I’m honored and proud to be able to join my father, a tremendous leader and mentor, and our outstanding team as we move the company into the future.”

For 38 years, Jimmy Bell Real Estate Co. has served Van Buren and the surrounding River Valley as one of the area’s premier residential, commercial and development companies.
