Two brothers were arrested in Franklin County Thursday, accused of being in possession of property stolen in a Van Buren burglary.
Robert Elmore of Franklin County and Marshall Elmore of Van Buren were booked into the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Thursday on suspicion of felony theft by receiving, accused of being in possession of property stolen from Gipson Crane in Van Buren in a burglary, according to detective Jonathan Wear of the Van Buren Police Department.
“Right now they are suspects in the burglary, but they were in criminal possession of property stolen in the burglary,” Wear said.
Van Buren detectives believe that property stolen in the burglary may have been sold to people unaware that the property is stolen, according to a news release issued by Wear on Tuesday.
The Elmores are still being held in the Franklin County Detention Center.
