Going over plans for the chamber’s membership directory are Judy Weese (left), advertising director for the Press Argus-Courier, and Lisa Huckelbury, chamber president.

The Van Buren Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Press Argus-Courier to produce the chamber’s 2014 membership directory and community profile magazine.

Chamber Executive Director Jackie Krutsch said the partnership will enhance the chamber’s efforts and better market the area.

“This is a key guide used by the chamber for prospective residents looking for a move, a business or corporation seeking relocation,” Krutsch said. “Our directory will provide in-depth knowledge on a city’s history, its education system, residential neighborhoods, business districts and, of course, all the fun things to do in Van Buren and in the surrounding area.”

And, she said, no chamber directory would be complete, of course, without a detailed membership directory.

“In these challenging times continued exposure and networking of your business is critical,” Krutsch said. “Our membership directory works as both a promotional piece and a handy guide to aid in helping you connect your business to this community.”

She said advertising in the chamber publication has even more advantages.

“National studies recently conducted show that consumers are more likely to buy goods and services in the future from a company that they believe is a member of the local chamber and more likely to think favorably about the business,” Krutsch said.

She said the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce works to achieve economic growth and development throughout the Van Buren area.

“This past November, the 300-plus newly added chamber members during our membership event was just a small step as to what can be done when our vision is focused and we all pull together to impact the growth of our community,” Krutsch said.

Distribution of the chamber publication will encourage use of member services and trusted member companies as well as support local economy, she said.

Krutsch pointed out chamber of commerce members also will benefit from:

• Affordable ad rates.

• Creative design.

• Preparation & proofing at no additional cost to member.

• Link online to publication.

• Link online to chamber web site.

• Businesses will have their products visible to other residents and businesses throughout the year.
