A fire destroyed an Alma home early Saturday.
Alma Volunteer Fire Chief Eddie Wakefield said a passerby called in a fire at a home on Hill Street near Maple Shade Road in Alma about 3 a.m. Saturday.
Wakefield said he believes a woman and her two daughters live at the home but were not there when the fire started. The home was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived, Wakefield said.
Alma firefighters got the fire under control in about two hours and remained at the scene for about two more hours to put out hot spots.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
