N.M. men plead not guilty to drug charges

Two New Mexico men arrested on Interstate 40 with about 100 pounds of marijuana pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Crawford County Circuit Court.

Jason Price, 42, and John Magnus, 48, both of Albuquerque, are charged with possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both are being held in the Crawford County Detention Center on $15,000 bond.

Officers from the Arkansas Highway Police Division of the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department uncovered the marijuana following a traffic stop Sept. 24, according to AHP Chief Ron Burks.

Officers discovered the approximately 100 pounds of marijuana with an estimated value of $200,000 in the bed of a pickup truck, Burks said.
