Pleas - July 19, 2014

In the 21st Judicial District Circuit Court in Van Buren July 14, Judge Gary R. Cottrell heard pleas and sentenced the following:

• Timothy Jeffcoat, 32, of Russellville pleaded guilty to three counts of forgery and was sentenced to two years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections with eight years suspended.

• Billy Woods, 43, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine and aggravated assault and was given a six-year suspended sentence and had his driver’s license suspended for six months. He will pay $4,000 in fines, $170 in court costs and a $250 DNA fee.

• Gabriel Palcios, 27, of Orem, Utah, pleaded guilty to second-degree domestic battery and was sentenced to six months in the Crawford County Detention Center with credit for jail time served. He will pay a $500 fine, $170 court costs and $250 DNA fee.

• Rocky Dukes, 41, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver, possession of Valium with purpose to deliver, possession of Xanax with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, delivery of methamphetamine and habitual offender and was sentenced to four years in a regional correction facility with six years suspended and had his driver’s license suspended for six months. He must complete a long-term drug program during his jail time.

• John Magnus, 48, of Albuquerque, N.M., pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to 10 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections with 20 years suspended and had his driver’s license suspended for six months.

• Amber Schwartz, 33, of Ozark pleaded guilty to first-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and was sentenced to two years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections with four years suspended.

• Heath Sheen, 42, of Mountainburg pleaded guilty to non-support and failure to appear and was sentenced to six years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections with 20 years suspended.

In the 21st Judicial District Circuit Court in Van Buren July 16, Judge Gary R. Cottrell heard pleas and sentenced the following:

• Alex Wolfe, 28, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of lorazepam, possession of tramadol and theft by receiving and was sentenced to three years probation, a one-year suspended sentence and had his driver’s license suspended. He will pay a $3,500 fine, $170 court costs and additional fees.

• Brittany Davis, 24, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to theft of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to three years probation. She will pay a $3,500 fine, $170 court costs and additional fees, and attend rehabilitation meetings.

• Miranda Blythe, 34, of Alma pleaded guilty to five counts of breaking or entering, theft of property and second-degree forgery and was sentenced to three years probation. She will pay $400 restitution, jointly and severely, a $3,500 fine, $170 court costs and additional fees, and must attend rehabilitation meetings.

• Joseph Cowan, 25, of Alma pleaded guilty to five counts of breaking or entering, theft of property and second-degree forgery and was sentenced to three years probation. He will pay $400 restitution, jointly and severely, a $3,500 fine, $170 court costs and additional fees, and must attend rehabilitation meetings.
