Rescued dogs - Sept. 4, 2013

The Van Buren Police Department has announced dogs picked up by its animal control division Aug. 26 - Sept. 1. The dogs currently are at the department’s pen and may be rescued by calling 474-1234

• Female gray schnauzer mix found in the 200 block of North 37th Street.

• Female white terrier mix with one blue eye and one brown eye found on South 41st Circle.

• Female black and white mastiff mix wearing a red nylon collar found at Van Buren Municipal Utilities on Bryan Road.

• Female white and brown pit bull mix wearing chain collar found in the 1200 block of Baldwin Street.

• Male black and tan shepherd mix wearing a blue flea collar and a red nylon collar found in the 1800 block of South 28th Street.

• Male tan cocker spaniel mix found in the 1400 block of Fayetteville Road.

• Female black pit bull and lab mix with brindle on legs found in the 1900 block of Elm Street.
