Aileene Wayt

Aileene Wayt, 85, of Alma passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014. She was born Dec. 19, 1928, in Fort Smith to the late Clifton and Era Griffith. She was a homemaker and a member of Mountain View Methodist Church in Alma. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hugh Wayt.

She is survived by a daughter, Gayle Wells of Alma; a son, Dennis Wayt and wife Sherri of Tampa, Fla.; four grandchildren, Cody, Jason, Kristin and Amanda; and four great-grandchildren, Madison, Gavin, Jayden and Landon.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Steep Hill Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Cody Collier, Jason Collier, David Couch, Don Couch, Jeff Couch and Rick Walker.

The family will visit with friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.

She may be viewed until 1 p.m. on Thursday.
