Clifton Cox

Clifton Richard Cox, 80, of Alma died Thursday, May 15, 2014, at a local hospital. He was a retired self-employed surveyor, member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Alma and former resident of Longview, Texas. He was born Aug. 7, 1933, in Lafayette, Texas, and widower of Lauralea Cox.

He is survived by three daughters, Deborah Johnson of Hot Springs, Tasha Bius of Huntsville, Texas, and Virginia Dale of Longview, Texas; three sons, Michael and Benny Cox, both of Alma, and Ed Cox of Longview; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Ocker Chapel of Alma with burial at Dyer Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kris, Kolby, Adam, Alan and Ed Cox, Andy Ross and Billy Garner.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
