Glenn Thomas Peer, a resident of Oklahoma City, passed peacefully at home with his beloved family by his side on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at the age of 58. After his cancer diagnosis in February 2013, he lived each moment fearlessly, purposefully, lovingly and enthusiastically.
Glenn was born on July 6, 1955, in Van Buren. Glenn graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor of science in zoology and dedicated 30 years of his professional life to medical research at the Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center. Glenn enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and pets. His hobbies included wind surfing, swimming, biking and disc golf. Glenn was a light to everyone who had the honor of knowing and loving him. He had a kind soul and a servant’s heart.
Glenn was raised in a loving Christian home and his faith was deepened during his courageous battle with cancer. He will be deeply missed, but those of us who have received salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, look forward to being reunited with Glenn in eternity.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Dr. Louis and Jean Peer; and father-in-law, John P. Day.
