John Lee

John William (Bill) Lee, 81, of Van Buren passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014, at his home. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Mason Lodge No. 6, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, Eastern Star No. 86 and Retired Military Association. He was an avid amateur radio operator. He was preceded in by his parents, Foster and Mildred (Cline) Lee; and one grandson, Jeremiah Dial.

He is survived by his wife, Liane Lee of the home; two daughters, Mildred Fischer and husband Charles of Grove, Okla., and Petra Earhart of Okmulgee, Okla.; two sons, John Lee Jr. and Karl Lee and wife Tasha, all of Van Buren; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The family will visit with relatives and friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson St., Van Buren. A private memorial service with military honors will be held at a later date under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
