J.W. Kendrick

J.W. “Hawk” Kendrick, 84, of Barling died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, in Van Buren. He was born May 27, 1929, in Centerville and was a retired house painter. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Freda.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; three daughters, Sandra Denman of Denton, Texas, Tonya Creakman of Moore, Okla., and Marcell Chronister of Fort Smith; a stepdaughter, Debra Jones of Barling; a son, James Kendrick of Van Buren; four stepsons , David Isakson of Mountain Home, Jeffrey Isakson of Milton, Fla., Daniel Isakson of Morrison, Okla., and Scott Isakson of Fort Smith; three sisters, Vera of Utah, Calif., Faye of Oroville, Calif., and Mary of Russellville; a brother, Frank Kendrick of Van Buren; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Donnie and Kolby Kendrick, Scott Isakson, Dustin Jeremiah, Ryan Reed and Johnny Jones.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
