Leon S. Moses, 87, of Banning, Calif., formerly of Van Buren, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, in Banning. He was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Texas to the late Ray and Leona Moses. He was a retired carpenter and attended the First Assembly of God Church in Van Buren. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Loeta “Bill” Moses.
He is survived by his wife, Lee of the home; a daughter, DeLetta Daniel and husband Dewey of Van Buren; a son, Daymor Moses and wife Cynthia of Indio Hills, Calif.; a sister, Nell Servold of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; a brother, Robert Moses of Banning; four grandchildren, Jody Moses and Phillip Moses of California and Chad Daniel and Dara Leavell of Arkansas; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel in Van Buren with burial to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
