Edwina Marie Alverson, 43 of Van Buren died Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, in Kibler. She was a homemaker.
Graveside service was Aug. 16 at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
She is survived by four daughters, Tiffany Alverson of Mulberry, Alishea Willmon of Ozark and Cassandra Alverson and Rebecca Flanagan, both of Van Buren; a son, Cecil Alverson Jr. of Van Buren; four sisters, Patsy May of Elkins, Okla., Diana Sisco and Ruby Lamb, both of Van Buren, and Virginia Mounce of Muldrow; and four grandchildren.
Richard A. Houston, 56, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, in Fort Smith. He was born Sept. 7, 1956, at Fort Chaffee. He was a former football coach for Cedarville High School.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia Oberste of Fort Smith; three sons, Zachary Houston and Tyler Houston, both of Van Buren, and Nick Houston of Greenwood; a sister, Barbara Houston-Blatchford of Fort Smith; and one granddaughter.
There will be a private, family held memorial service at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith.

Carroll M. Herring, 87, of Kibler died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at a local hospital. He was a retired factory worker for Flanders Industries, member and deacon of the Kibler Freewill Baptist Church and widower of Ima Jean Herring. He was born Aug. 25, 1925, at Branch.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at the Gill Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Rogers of Midland and Lisa Contreras of Kibler; two sons, Buck and Mark Herring, both of Kibler; and two grandchildren.
