Othel Lasiter

Othel Lasiter, 81, of Mulberry died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at his home. He was a retired businessman, having owned several convenience stores in this area, and attended the Van Buren Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy A.; a daughter, Deborah Gail Lasiter; a son, Michael Lasiter; his parents, Wid and Dimple Lasiter; a grandson, Jody Lasiter; two daughters-in-law, Leneda Lasiter and Deborah Lasiter; and a sister, Mary Harmon.

He is survived by three sons, Wayne Lasiter of Mulberry, Bruce Lasiter and his wife Bonnie of Fort Smith and Dennis Lasiter of Mulberry; a brother; Sam Lasiter of Muldrow; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Van Buren Freewill Baptist Church with interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Brittany Lasiter, Douglas Lasiter, Kristopher Almeida, David Lasiter, Steve Lasiter and Harold Lasiter. Honorary pallbearers will be Corbin Dean, Josh Elliott, Clay Lasiter, Sammy Lasiter and Steve Aguliar.
