Ralph Patterson

Ralph Edwin Patterson, 89, of Alma died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, in Van Buren. He was a native of Uniontown and a retired self-employed barber for more than 32 years in Van Buren. He was a decorated veteran of the Army serving in World War II, receiving two Purple Hearts and one bronze star. He attended New Heights Baptist Church in Alma and was the widower of Robbye Patterson.

He is survived by a son, Gary Patterson of Alma; one grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren. Burial with military honors will be at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Allen Gossett, Danny Johnson, Denny Snow, George Trimmell, Mark Gentry and Mike Allen.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
