Ross Devers

The Rev. Ross Devers, 76, of Alma died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at his home. He was born Oct. 10, 1937, in Paradise, Mo. He was a businessman, an ordained minister and Navy veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Janalou; a son, Scott Devers of Inola, Okla.; a half sister, Judy Lea Coons of Platte City, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Heritage United Methodist Church in Van Buren with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with military honors under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Bill Page, Floyd Cagle, Robert Flanagan, Harold Hamm, Doyle Hensley, Keven Henson, Mike Gipson, Jack Aikman and Mike Coleman.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the C.B.C. Home Group and the Alma School Transportation Department.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
