Ruth Bowlin Perrier, 94, of Mulberry passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013. She was born Oct. 4, 1919, to the late Paul and Bessie Bowlin. She retired after 27 years with the Mulberry School District as an elementary school teacher. She was a member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association (ARTA), National Education Association (NEA), Crawford County Retired Teachers Association (CCRTA) and a member of the First Baptist Church of Mulberry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Perrier Jr.
She is survived by a son, Paul Gene Perrier and wife Dottie of Van Buren; a sister, Betty Yeager of Victorville, Calif.; two grandsons, Paul Brian Perrier of Sanger, Texas, and Bradley Gene Perrier of Irving, Texas; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was Oct. 18 at the First Baptist Church of Mulberry with interment at New Cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Moore, Jimmy McChristian, Jerry Prescott, Danny Udouj, David Bender and John Paul Chitwood.
