Thelma Stout

Thelma Stout, 74, of Van Buren died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, in Fort Smith. She was born May 1, 1939, in Greenwood, former employee of Fort Chaffee and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Boyd; three daughters, Aletha Burgess of Greenwood, Peggy L. Poindexter of Huntsville, Ala., and Doris Jones of Van Buren; two sons, Timothy and Joel Stout, both of Van Buren; a sister, Doris Jean Chronister of Fort Smith; two brothers, Faye Hunter of Liberty and Kenneth Hunter of Enola, Okla.; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Parks Cemetery in Charleston.

Pallbearers will be Aaron, Brian, Dustin and Joel Stout III, Robert Poindexter and Connor Burgess.
