CLARKSVILLE — Mulberry High School basketball standout Karlee Henson is continuing her basketball career at the University of the Ozarks, it was announced by Ozarks’ head women’s basketball coach Carl Ramsey.
Henson, a 5-foot-5 point guard, averaged 9.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game her senior season. She hit 43 percent from the three-point line en route to helping the Lady Yellow Jackets to the state tournament. Henson also averaged 2.0 steals per game and was named All-Region and All-District her senior season. She finished her career as a four-time All-District performer. MHS won the district and regional championship her senior season.
“Karlee is a good ball handler and a really good three-point shooter,” said Ramsey. “She also understands the importance of academics. She is a perfect fit for the university and we look forward to her joining our basketball program.”
She is the daughter of Terry and Denise Henson. Henson will major in biology.
