The Cedarville Pirates managed to get a win at the Greenland tournament a day early before the weather shut it down.

The Pirates defeated Gentry 61-49 with Garrett Parson leading with 27.

Alex Cantrell added 10 points while Core Fincher chipped in nine.

Farmington 49, Cedarville 46 (Women’s)

Farmington scored the first six points of the game but had to had a big flurry in the fourth quarter to beat Cedarville 49-46 during Tuesday’s contest at Clair Bates Arena at the Citizens Bank Invitational.

The Lady Cardinals hit five free throws to crack a 42-42 tie with 2:12 left.

Maria McPherson hit two freebies, Tahlon Hopkins hit a lone free throw and Tichina Scales added two for a 47-42 lead with 40 seconds left.

Haylee Maxwell led Farmington (4-1) with 18 points as she shot 10 of 12 from the free throw line. Maxwell also had a game-high six steals as Farmington forced 14 of Cedarville’s 22 turnovers. Tahlon Hopkins added 11 points.

Allie Arnold scored 16 points for Cedarville (1-3). Bailie Murphy added 15 points and Malia Hernandez 11. Hernandez also has a game-high eight rebounds while both Arnold and Grace Davidoff pulled down six boards each.

Farmington reclaimed the lead after back-to-back turnovers in the second half netted five points as the Lady Cardinals went up 35-30 with 5:52 remaining.

Morrilton 46, Cedarville 36 (Women’s)

The Lady Devil Dogs broke loose from a halftime tie for the win during Wednesday’s consolation game. The games originally scheduled for Thursday and Saturday were cancelled due to the weather.

Three players scored in double figures for Morrilton — Tori Jackson led with 13 while Danielle Wright chipped in with 12 and Jayla Criswell added 10.

Malia Hernandez scored a game-high 16 to pace the Lady Pirates (1-4) while Bailie Murphy added 11.
