Mulberry’s Taylor Nagle deals with the Danville defense in Tuesday’s 35-26 win. The Lady YellowJackets face the Lady Golden Arrows on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Pinnacle Communications Tournament in Lavaca.

Mulberry split with Danville at home on Tuesday night.

The Lady YellowJackets rallied from an early five-point deficit to beat Class 2A Lady Little Johns, 35-26.

The Little Johns held off the YellowJackets, 62-55.

The Lady Little Johns led 12-7 at the end of the first quarter, but Mulberry rallied back to go up 19-14 by halftime. The Lady YellowJackets led 29-19 going into the fourth quarter.

Brittany Edwards led her team with 10 points while Lex Voorhees added nine. Sam Cagle tossed in five and both Logan Archer and Rebecca Treat chipped in four point each.

Mulberry has won six games in a row after its 43-37 loss to Nemo Vista back on Nov. 5.

The Lady YellowJackets (7-2) face the Lady Golden Arrows in the Pinnacle Communications Tournament hosted by Lavaca on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The YellowJackets trailed the Little Johns 16-11 at the end of the first quarter and maintained that margin by halftime, 33-28.

However, Danville surged ahead, 48-34, at the end of the third quarter.

Dillon Jones led with a season-high 20 points and Keenan Reeves also had 12 points. Dalton Smith chipped in 10 in the loss.

The YellowJackets participate in the Pinnacle Communications Tournament on Monday against Class 3A Paris at 5:30 p.m.
