Racing: McKenzie wins E Modified class

Dalton McKenzie broke Anthony Reeves’ string of wins Saturday by taking first in the E Modified class at Crawford County Speedway.

Reeves had won four straight races since he began the 2013 season back on April 13. McKenzie, who hasn’t missed a race this year took his second win of the season and his eighth consecutive Top 3 finish. McKenzie had finished runner-up to Reeves on two occasions.

Lester Weese finished third followed by Cory Southerland and Victor Pinkerton, who made his 2013 debut with a fifth-place finish.

Randall Irvin grabbed his fourth win in six weeks as he took first in the Grand National class.

Clifton Drummond, who has one win and seven Top 5 finishes, was second followed by Duane Rose.

Joey Dunn and Brad McMahon placed fourth and fifth respectively.

Teddy Parker picked up his first win in his second outing in the Mini Stock class on Saturday night. Parker placed second back on April 27.

Joe Wilson had his highest finish of the season thus far was second and Bobby Hawkins grabbed third.

Rusty Lemonier, who won last week, was fourth. Lemonier has won three times in the Mini Stock class. Remington Watson was fifth.

Sam Osman moved from the back of the pack to first and garnered his second win of 2013.

Osman was 12th last week, but has six Top 5 finishes in eight races.

Hank Long was second and Victor Pinkerton took third. Dakota Essman and John Ritchie rounded out the Top 5.

Chris Perkins, who placed 11th last week, won his third Street Stock race.

Marshall Penson was runner up after finishing 15th on May 4. Zane Hunter, who won last week, was third, followed by Jesse Garner and Will Lamproe.

Josh Jones won his second Front Wheel Drive race finishing in front of Randy Payne and Daniel Altes.

Matt Hobbs was fourth and Cameron Mott had his third consecutive fifth-place finish.

Last week’s winner, James Poe was 10th. Poe has won four races this season.
