Racing: Smith secures back-to-back wins

Cody Smith won the Front Wheel Drive feature and picked up his first back-to-back win at Crawford County Speedway Saturday night.

Smith won three consecutive races starting back on Aug. 10. He has won 14 races this season since he began back on April 6.

Jonathan Roberts earned his highest finish this season as he placed second and Jimmy Hamilton was third. Josh Jones, who was runner-up last week, was fourth and Daniel Altes nabbed fifth.

Bosco Hunter won the Mechanics Race while Chris Perkins was second.

Mallory Pinkerton won her third race in six starts in the Street Stock class.

Last week’s winner, Zane Hunter was second and Jaylen Brewton took third. Ronnie Lingo placed fourth while Will Lamproe finished fifth.

Clifton Drummond won the Grand National feature race to grab his third win and his first since July 27.

Ricky Smith, who had back-to-back wins, was second and Jennifer Robertson was third.

Mike McMahon and Remington Watson rounded out the Top 5.

Kevin McSperritt earned his first win since July 13 in the Mini Stock feature race.

Rusty Lemonier was runner up while Jason Belt matched his highest finish this season as he placed third.

Gary Boyster was fourth and Tony Ferrari picked up his third consecutive fifth-place finish.

Dalton McKenzie won the E Modified feature race beating a pack of five other drivers. McKenzie has won 11 times this season. Only Anthony Reeves, who finished third last week, has more wins (12).

Hank Long clinched his first back-to-back win since August as he took first in the A Modified feature.

Roy Long (three wins) was second and Victory Pinkerton finished third. Jason Foster, who is the winningest A Modified driver this season with nine wins, was fourth. Zane Hunter rounded out the Top 5.
