Camps

VAN BUREN JUNIORS TENNIS — June 3-July 9 (Monday, Wednesday, Friday each week), 8-10 a.m. at the VAn Buren Tennis Courts. Each clinic is for one week, campers can participate for more than one week. POINTER BASKETBALL — June 4-6, Clair Bates Arena. Two sessions: Grades 2nd-5th, 8-11 a.m.; Grades 6-9, 12-3 p.m. Contact 471-4006 for additional information and to sign up.

POINTER WRESTLING — June 4-6, VB Freshman Academy, Auxillary Gym. Two sessions: Grades K-6, 8:30-11 a.m.; Grades 7-12, 1-3 p.m. Cost is $25. T-shirts for all students on last day of camp. Contact Adam Pendergrass, apendergrass@vbsd.us.

LADY POINTER BASKETBALL — June 10-12, 9 a.m.-noon at Clair Bates Arena. The camp will be for girls going into 3rd-9th grade. T-shirts will be given to each player who attends camp. Cost is $40. LADY POINTER SOFTBALL — June 10-12, 4-5:30 p.m. at VBHS Softball Field. For those who participate in 8U to 14U divisions. Cost is $40. Team discount (if eight or more from the same summer team), $30. $50 day of camp. Contact VBHS coach Andy Williams to sign up or additional information.

POINTER FOOTBALL — July 15-18 and July 22-25. For grades 3-5, 9-10 a.m. Cost is $25. Note: 6th and 7th grades start lifting July 8, contact school coaches.

Golf Tournament

ALMA LIONS CLUB — Saturday, May 25 at the new Winn Mountain Golf Course between Alma and Mountainburg on HWY 71. Four-player scramble with 1 p.m. start, Lunch at Noon. Limited to the first 25 teams. Contact Don Ellis, (972) 689-6488. Cost is $200 per team. Hole Sponsorships are $100. Proceeds to benefit building of Lions Club sponsored soccer fields at Alma Boys & Girls Club
