Track: Alma JH places at Ramsey Relays

The Lady Airedales placed fourth behind the Northwest Arkansas schools at the Ramsey Junior High Relays at Southside on Thursday in Fort Smith.

Alma finished behind Fayetteville Ramay, Fayetteville George and Woodland.

The Airedales placed sixth with Greenwood winning the boys’ division.

Jade Wazelle won the 200 (29.17 seconds) and took seventh in the 100 (14.13).

Hunter Burkhart won the 110-meter hurdles (17.10) and took fifth in the 100 (12.11).

Lady Airedales

Victoria Mayne grabbed second in the 800 (2 minutes, 45.84 seconds).

Trystin Anderson clinched second in the pole vault (7 feet, 6 inches), fourth in the 300-meter hurdles (54.82) and fifth in the 100-meter hurdles (17.62).

Kandy Robbins nabbed third in the pole vault (7-0).

Alyssa Hoyle seized fourth in the 400 (1:07.18) and was sixth in the triple jump (29-7).

Abbye Ostrander was fourth in the long jump (14-6), fifth in the high jump (4-8) and seventh in the 100 hurdles (17.88).

Gabi Hill clinched fifth in the discus (75-2).

Shawnta Metcalf finished seventh in the triple jump (29-2).

Scout Simpson placed eighth in the 1,600 (6:40.03).

Alma was second in the 3,200-meter relay (11:10 .85), fourth in the 1,600 relay (4:50.25) and fifth in the 400 relay (55.70). The 3,200 team was comprised of Mayne, Alora Perry, Katie England and Jordan Dabdub. Mayne, Londan Barlow, Danielle Mason and Julia Kovarovich ran on the 1,600 relay team. Wazelle, Ostrander, Cala Passen and Jordyn Collyar were part of the 400 relay team.

Airedales

Jacob Wells finished second in the 110 hurdles (17.16) and third in the 300 hurdles (47.37).

Tyler Newman was second in the pole vault (9-6) and fourth in the long jump (18-4.25).

Landon Brigance nabbed fourth in the 200 (24.72), sixth in the long jump (17-11.25), and eighth in the 100 (12.15).

Heath Friddle placed fifth in the high jump (5-4) and seventh in the long jump (17-5.25).

Daniel Edwards was seventh in the shot put (40-9.75).

Alma’s 3,200 relay team (Augustine Pina, Audel Pina, Trenton Brewer and Carter Wolfe) placed fifth (10:29.67).
