YellowJackets: Teams split with Indians

Four players reached double digits and the Lady YellowJackets defeated County Line 56-33 Tuesday night.

Logan Archer, Brittany Edwards and Lexi Voorhees each contributed 12 points each and Brittany Edwards added 11.

Mulberry (13-2) jumped to a 17-5 lead in the first quarter and was up 36-12 by halftime.

Taylor Neagle had five points for Mulberry.

The Lady YellowJackets faces Booneville on Dec. 17 at 10 a.m. in the Mansfield tournament.

County Line 36, Mulberry 18 ( Men’s)

Dillon Jones scored 10 points, but a second-quarter surge by the Indians put the YellowJackets behind in Tuesday’s loss.

Mulberry (4-10) trailed 11-8 at the end of the first quarter, but County Line blasted to a 24-12 lead at halftime.

The YellowJackets are off until Dec. 27 when it faces Booneville at the Mansfield tournament starting at 11:30 a.m.
